FULL-ARCH FIXED TEETH
A full arch of fixed teeth — placed, restored, and hand-finished under one roof.
If most or all of your teeth are failing, All-on-4 changes the math: instead of one implant per tooth, four to six precisely angled implants support an entire arch of fixed teeth — often placed the same day your failing teeth come out. You walk in with teeth that have been fighting you for years and walk out with teeth that don’t come out at night.
Is this you?
Most of our full-arch patients arrive from one of three places: dentures that rule your life — adhesive, clicking, food you quietly avoid; a mouth in slow collapse — years of crowns, root canals, and extractions, each dollar buying less time; or a diagnosis you’ve been sitting on — a dentist said “we’re losing these,” and fear or price froze the decision. All three have the same exit. And no — you will not get a lecture here about how long you waited.
All-on-4 vs. All-on-6 — an honest comparison
Four implants is the proven standard: fewer implants, often avoids grafting, decades of research behind it. Six implants adds support and redundancy where bone quality allows — Dr. Oestervemb frequently recommends it for lower arches with strong bone or patients with heavy bites. This is exactly the kind of judgment call where board certification and thousands of surgical hours matter more than a package name: you’ll get a recommendation based on your CT scan, not a bundle we happen to sell. Both arrive at the same place — fixed teeth, brushed like natural teeth, no adhesive, no removal.
What the day actually looks like
Before the day: your free consult with a 3D CBCT scan, a digital plan built on your anatomy, surgical guides and your new teeth prepared by our on-site lab. Surgery day: sedation to your comfort level — IV sedation from Dr. Oestervemb (certified since 2010) or full general anesthesia with a licensed anesthesiologist — removal of failing teeth, fully guided placement of your implants, and a full set of fixed temporary teeth attached before you leave. The months after: implants fuse with your bone while you eat (soft foods first), smile, and live; then our lab crafts your final arch, adjusted tooth by tooth by the same doctor who placed your implants.
Why patients drive across state lines for this
At most offices, full-arch means a relay: a surgeon places implants, your dentist designs teeth, a distant lab builds them, and you carry the plan between them. Here the surgeon, the restoring dentist, and the lab — staffed by two full-time technicians — share one hallway. Fewer appointments, faster fixes when a tooth needs adjusting, one accountable doctor, and one bill with two fewer markups in it. Dr. Oestervemb doesn’t just perform this procedure; he teaches full-arch and grafting techniques to practicing dentists as faculty for the AAID Implant MaxiCourse.
What it costs
Fixed full-arch treatment at our center runs $20,000 – $32,000 per arch, complete — extractions, fully guided surgery, same-day temporary teeth, and the final lab-crafted arch, all included. Our published cost guide breaks down the details and how monthly financing works through Cherry, CareCredit, Proceed, and LendingClub. Compare that honestly against the denture treadmill — relines, remakes every 5–10 years, adhesive forever, and the bone loss that makes each new denture fit worse — and against 20+ years of fixed teeth. Your exact written quote comes free with your 3D scan.
Fixed full-arch vs. dentures
| Traditional dentures | All-on-4 fixed teeth | |
|---|---|---|
| Comes out at night | Yes | Never |
| Adhesive | Usually | No |
| Chewing power | ~20–25% of natural | Near natural |
| Jawbone | Keeps shrinking | Preserved by implants |
| Replacement cycle | Every 5–10 years | Designed for decades |
| Foods off the menu | Many | Almost none |
Prefer to hear it than read it? Dr. Oestervemb compares the two paths here:
Can I really get teeth the same day?
Yes — our full-arch patients receive fixed temporary teeth the day of surgery, with the final lab-crafted arch placed after healing. Your 3D scan confirms candidacy before the day is ever scheduled.
Am I too old for All-on-4?
Age alone almost never disqualifies you — health factors matter more than birthdays, and we review them honestly at your consult.
I was told I don’t have enough bone.
All-on-4’s angled-implant design was invented for exactly that problem, and grafting solves most of the rest. Bring your scan for a free second opinion.
Will I be awake?
Your choice — from local anesthesia to IV sedation to full general anesthesia with a licensed anesthesiologist in our center. Most full-arch patients choose deeper sedation and describe the day as far easier than they feared.
How do I clean fixed teeth?
Brush like natural teeth, plus simple tools we’ll teach for underneath the bridge, and regular maintenance visits — easier than most people expect.
